Aligners Vs Braces
Both braces and clear aligners gradually straighten teeth and can improve the way your teeth bite together. Whether one is better than the other depends on the individual case. Braces are best suited to kids and teens who may struggle to keep the aligners in 22 hours a day. Braces are fast, effective and convenient. Clear aligners, like Invisalign, use a series of thin plastic trays that are worn in sequence to gradually move teeth. They are suited to adults with mild to moderate crowding or spacing. HOW BRACES WORK
Braces use metal brackets and wires to straighten crooked teeth and help improve misaligned bites. Small metal brackets are glued to the teeth and then have a wire inserted to apply constant pressure to the tooth. You will visit our clinic every 6-8 weeks or so for check-ups and braces adjustments.
